The Great Outdoors.

Polly's Barn is perfectly perched between moorland and coast providing endless amazing opportunities for walking right from the front door from gentle strolls to day long mountain hikes to spectacular coast paths. We have provided detailed information and maps for guests on walking in the local area. We can print out routes and provide directions and helpful local knowledge.

Sitting within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in an area of common land owned by the Barony of Cemaes overseen by the Lord Marcher whose seat is Newport Castle, Polly's Barn is often visited by sheep, Welsh mountain ponies and cattle wandering past the gate.

Newport.

The bustling town of Newport is a lovely 20 minute walk, or less than 5 minute drive, away. Newport sits on the mouth of the Nevern estuary and has the beautiful Newport Sands beach nearby as well as the “Parrog”, or seafront at the bottom of town with access to a small beach at low tide, a boat club with bar and lovely walks along the coast path.

The town is packed with shops, cafés and pubs and boasts a small supermarket, a butchers, wholefood shop, post office, bookshop, chemist and hardware store. There are four pubs, three cafes, a host of artisan and gift shops, galleries and the weekly market every Monday morning attracts a range of local crafts and food suppliers.
